Wollongong Lions Club

Wollongong Lions Club was chartered in 1957.

The Club currently has 36 members and has grown significantly over the past 12 months.

In the photo below are some of our newer younger members, including a guest.

Typical Lions Club dinner meeting

The Club meets alternate Thursdays at Collegians Balgownie for a dinner meeting.

A normal Dinner Meeting includes a guest speaker as well as fellowship between all the members.

We are the Lions

We meet the needs of our local communities and the world.

Our 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more.

Join us in making our communities and the world better places to live.

Becoming a Lion

Lions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in their local community as well as in communities worldwide. Their volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide.

Fundraising!

The Club has just completed a week of BBQing at the Wollongong Botanic Gardens with the profits of over $1000 going to the Club activity account which will be used for community projects.

The Club operated Driver Reviver each weekend during January. They served over 900 cups of tea or coffee. Money was raised through donations and the sale of cold drinks and Hot Dogs. Lions Club Christmas cakes were also sold.
